    National Adoption Day

    November 21, 2026

    Co-founded by the Alliance in 1999, National Adoption Day opens courthouse doors each November to finalize adoptions from foster care and celebrate permanent, loving families. Pro bono attorneys and staff partner directly with caregivers to clear legal hurdles and secure essential support, transforming courtroom halls into celebratory spaces with photos, activities, and gifts for newly finalized families.

    Youth Thanksgiving

    November 22, 2026

    TAY Thanksgiving brings together transition-age youth ages 18–24 for a shared holiday meal and community connection as they navigate independence after foster care. The gathering pairs a warm, festive dinner with direct access to peer support, housing and legal resources, and essential supplies like grocery gift cards and care packages to ensure young people feel rooted, respected, and supported.
